Which cable where in the socket?
You have three colors of wires: brown, blue and yellow/green striped. The brown wire is the phase wire, which carries power to the socket. The blue wire is the neutral wire, which carries current. The yellow/green wire is the earth wire, which provides safety in the event of a short circuit.An extension cord, also called an extension cable, is an ideal way to use electrical equipment in places without electricity.

Which wire goes where?
There are 4 colors of wires used in electricity. Blue = Neutral wire Brown = Phase wire Black = Switch wire Yellow/green = Earth wire. As you can see in the picture, the brown wire goes to the switch and to the socket. The blue goes to the lamp and to the socket.
